We are currently seeking an Artistic Director for Cheers, Madison! LLC to conduct a diverse ensemble of 200 singers with varying levels of experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for community music-making, strong pedagogical skills, and the ability to foster an inclusive, engaging rehearsal environment.

Rehearsals will be organized in a cyclical format, consisting of four cycles throughout the year, each comprising 4 to 6 rehearsals and concluding with an informal concert. Rehearsals and concerts will take place on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Garver Feed Mill.
Application Requirements:

Cover Letter detailing your interest in the position and your prior experience working with community choirs of varied skill levels.

Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) highlighting relevant conducting, teaching, and musical experience.

Rehearsal Footage (approximately 15 minutes) that best represents your teaching style. This may include one or more rehearsal clips and should demonstrate your work with ensembles comprised of singers with diverse experience levels. This may be sent via google drive link, youtube link, or another easily accessible application.
Interview Process:
Interviews will be conducted via Zoom between September 10–12. Selected applicants will be contacted to schedule a specific time.
Compensation:
This one year contract will vary between $15,000-17,000 and is contingent upon experience.
